Painting/Comp Term 1 Final

This was a painting i did for my term project for my painting/composition class. The assignment was to choose a master painting and a current event photo, and somehow combine them into a cohesive image.

This is my first full-fledged oil painting. I've worked with oils before, but only to study models for quick couple-hour-long poses.

Painted in about 2-3 days. Oil on canvas, 24" x 36", or 60.96 cm x 91.44 cm
