As you may know, I recently started my first term at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. As a result, I am swamped with homework.

So I unfortunately don't have time to finish this piece, but I figured I would show what I did up until now. About 99% of this was painted with one brush.

Thanks for looking, and sorry I don't have the time to finish it right now!

Nothing. It's a study. The purpose is to learn.

In your description, you said that you weren't finished because you didn't have time to finish.
So basically, now, you're not going to finish because it's a study. I'd say it would still be a *study* and you'd *learn* more if you finished.
does it cease to be a study if you decide to add more to it?

it's as if me refusing to change my cat's litter because the grass is green makes sense.

What? I dont have time to finish. You asked what i'd do if I finished it. I answered. I would finish it if i could, but i cant. But i still learned from it.

Also, i have no idea what your cat or grass has anything to do with my paintings, lol

oh, the foreground elements. Basically everything is finished except that. There is a lot of foliage and brickwork, and a few figures playing on the bank.

You should definitely finish this. You did a great job at capturing that river school lighting. And the colours are really well balanced, subtle and atmospheric. Good stuff! =]

Yeah I know the feeling...but I sure hope you'll get to it =] but with art center I suppose the assignments are interesting at least :D
