Here is the Self-Portrait i have been showing bits and pieces of recently. I can't think of what else to do with it, So I will call it done. Any critiques and comments are appreciated.

All is hand-painted. I tried to keep it rather loose for the background and clothes. I also tried to use Rembrandt's 'windmill' technique, and I think it turned out rather well.

A photo of my face was used as reference, but the hair, lighting, clothes, and beard are from imagination. (I do have a beard, but i didnt have one in the photo reference i used. haha)

Love the over-all lighting and the depth/detail of your eye! I think just a few more small hits of bright light on your collar, lips, and hair would really tie it all together and bring it to life like the way you have done your eye

Love the way you handled the hair. No more or less attention than it deserved. As hard as it is to offer any critique of a face your not familiar with, the right eye (on the viewers left) seems like it's a little close to the nose, based on the placement of the other eye, and the width of the turning side.
